Medium Smooth yarn, multiple ply  15-30 wraps per inch
 
Fiber:  cotton
Type:  organic, commercial carded sliver
Preparation for Spinning:  Sliver was torn into 6" lengths for easy handling.  No other preparation was necessary
Reason for Choice of this Sample:  Readily available and affordable for handspinners.  Fiber was already dyed and the carded sliver was easy spinning.

Weight of Skein: 
Finishing:  Yarn was skeined, boiled for 30 minutes, rinsed and partially dried on the skeiner.  Hung to finish drying.
Length of yarn: 
Suggested Uses:  This is a good knitting or crochet weight yarn for any cotton project such as the knitted open-work cardigan pattern from “Vogue Very Easy Knits”.  I think it would be interesting to try using this yarn for a similar style cardigan with the body pattern constructed using macramé.
