Extra fine or fine even 2ply yarn from extra fine singles 
 
Fiber:  cotton
Type:  Commercial acala cotton sliver
Preparation for Spinning:  Fiber was torn into 6" lengths for easier handling.  No other preparation was necessary.
Reason for Choice of this Sample:  Very available and affordable fiber.  Unfortunately, residual contamination was trapped in the sliver.  The resulting black specks had to be picked out by hand.

Weight of Skein: 
Finishing:  Yarn skeined and then dyed  with navy reactive dye.  Yarn was rinsed,  and hung to dry
Length of yarn: 
Suggested Uses:  Knitted or crocheted lace for shawls or doilies.    This  would be a good yarn to use to repair some damage to a family crocheted tablecloth.  It is the same weight, color and style yarn and would make almost invisible repairs.
