Medium yarn, dry spun  15-30 wraps per inch
 
Fiber:  flax
Type:  commercial bleached flax tow sliver
Preparation for Spinning:  Sliver was divided into sections and pulled though a flicker to remove shorts and noil. 
Reason for Choice of this Sample:  Readily available and affordable fiber. I wanted at least one white skein in the flax category and this very white, bleached sliver allowed me to do that.

Finishing:  Yarn was wound onto PVC bobbins and boiled for  30 minutes in water and  detergent to remove residual oils.  Yarn was wound onto a skeiner, partially dried and then  hung to finish drying.                           
Length of yarn: 
Suggested Uses:  Weaving lightweight fabric for linens or clothing.  Excellent yarn for lucet braiding.
