Preparation for Spinning: Strick was combed through a flicker
to remove the shorts, leaving only the longest parallel fiber.
Fiber was separated into thin fingers and placed into a towel to
increase control during spinning.
Reason for Choice of this Sample: This was the best quality
strick available to me at the time. Note: This obviously wasn't
the quality of fiber discussed in reference books!

Wetspun singles were wound into balls and placed into a plastic
container for control during plying. 2 ply yarn was wound onto a pvc
bobbin and boiled in water and detergent
for 30 minutes to remove oils. Yarn was rinsed,
wound onto a skeiner,
partially dried and hung to finish drying.

Suggested Uses: Warp and weft for placemats.
Warp for cotton rag rugs.
