Preparation for Spinning: Sliver was space dyed using liquid
reactive dyes, rinsed and dried. Dried fiber was sectioned and
carded into rolags using hand cards.
Reason for Choice of this Sample: Readily available and
affordable fiber. The bleached white fiber is great for dyeing.

Wetspun singles were woundinto balls and placed into
a plastic container for control during plying. 3 ply yarn was wound onto
a skeiner and dried. Yarn is stiff but will soften with use.
Length of yarn:
Suggested Uses: Yarn is quite strong and
suitable for a wide range of uses. Crochet or macramé shopping bags
would be a great used for this yarn. Cut down on plastic—make your own
bags!
