Preparation for Spinning: Fiber was separated into sections
lengthwise and crosswise for easier handling. No other preparation
was necessary.
Reason for Choice of this Sample: This was an opportunity for
me to try a new form of silk--the brick. I was slightly
disappointed with the amount of variation in the fiber length. I
don't find this as noticeable with commercial silk sliver.

was wound onto a pvc bobbin and boiled in water and detergent for 30
minutes to remove processing sericin residue. Yarn was rinsed, wound
onto a skeiner, partially dried and hung to finish
drying
Length of yarn:
Suggested Uses: Bobbin lace or fine lace knitting. Personally
I would prefer this yarn with a little more twist added and then plied.
