Type:  Bombyx mulberry silk hankies
Preparation for Spinning:  Starting in the center, the hankie was pulled and expanded to approximately 1/4" diameter sliver.
Reason for Choice of this Sample:  Met the expanded preparation requirement.  Not my favorite because it sticks to my rough "farmer" hands so badly.

Finishing: Yarn was wound onto a  skeiner, steamed, and hung to dry.

Suggested Uses:  Without being an experienced weaver, finding a use for an extra-fine textured yarn is difficult.  Most lace references do not recommend textured yarns for lace so I can only speculate that this yarn could be used for weft in a lightweight, woven summer jacket or table runner.
