Preparation for Spinning:  Fiber was sectioned lengthwise and crosswise for easier handling.
Reason for Choice of this Sample:  Excellent quality fiber and a wonderful preparation.  The Peruvians have hundreds of years of experience with this fiber and no one handles alpaca better.

Finishing:  Yarn was wound onto a  skeiner, washed, and hung to dry.
Length of yarn: 
Suggested Uses:  This yarn just screams lace to me.  It would make a very soft, drape-able knitted scarf or vest.  It could be used for weft in a soft woven blanket or sofa throw.
