Preparation for Spinning: Fibers were washed in detergent,
rinsed and air dried. Using a drumcarder, the wool and dog were
blended together and the alpaca and mohair were blended together.
Resulting batts were drafted into sliver.
Reason for Choice of this Sample: Dog hair, alpaca, and wool
are from my own animals. The very shiny alpaca/mohair yarn is a
nice contrast to to the off white, slightly hairy dog/wool blend.

strength. It would make a nice knitted beret or a combination
knitted and crocheted ruana.
