Preparation for Spinning: Fleece was washed in detergent,
rinsed and air dried. Silk waste was de-gummed by boiling in soda based
detergent for 30min and rinsed. Waste was dyed with acid dyes in
multiple colors, dried and cut into 1" pieces. Waste and wool were
drumcarded into batts and torn into pieces for spinning.
Reason for Choice of this Sample: This is one of my favorite
blends. The preparation is time consuming but the resulting yarn
is well worth the effort.

Suggested Uses: I love this yarn and consequently would
recommend it for everything. Practically, however, it would be a
great sweater yarn--warm yet soft and shiny. I think I would also
use it in a triangle shawl. Even though it's a little thicker than
most triangle weaving yarns, I would weave it loose and oversized to
take advantage of the thick, soft warmth in the finished fabric.
