Preparation for Spinning: Wool was pre-washed. All
fibers were dyed using acid dyes, rinsed and dried. Fiber was
picked together with a triple picker and carded into batts using a
drumcarder. Additional silk was dyed, rinsed, dried, and snapped
to loosen for spinning separately.
Reason for Choice of this Sample: Alpaca is from my own animal
and the washed Romney was from my fiber stash. The difference in
dye absorption in the three fibers gives additional color interest.
Type of Spinning: supported long draw from the fold

Suggested Uses: This yarn could be used for a knitted novelty
scarf or hat. It could also be incorporated into a freeform knit
or crochet design pattern. It's a nice yarn with an unfortunately
heinous dye job. (the green just screams mountain dew bottle).
