Skein 5

Use either Single drive, double drive, or bobbin lead spinning wheel

Preparation for Spinning:  Fleece was washed in detergent, rinsed and air dried.  Clean fiber was then picked open by hand and drumcarded into batts.  Batts were split and pulled into sliver.

Type of Spinning:  unsupported long draw
Equipment Used:  drumcarder, bobbin flyer wheel (Louet S-90)
Direction of Twist:  Z
Number of Plies:  singles
Weight of Skein:
Finishing:  Yarn was wound onto a skeiner, washed, partially dried on the skeiner, and hung to finish drying.
Length of yarn:
Suggested Uses:  This yarn could be knit or crocheted for a blanket or could be used as weft for a woven blanket.  This fiber would full well and give the finished fabric a thick, soft finish.
