Demonstrate an understanding of both line and tow flax by using
the appropriate choice of fiber for each of the following skeins.
Let the beatings begin.........I boiled my
skeins on PVC bobbins. The last thing I wanted to end up with
was a tangled mess of clean but ruined flax because the zillion ties
I put on it didn't keep it straight. Evidently, I was wrong.
BIG TIME. Boiling 45 minutes wasn't enough and the pvc bobbin
kept part of the yarn from coming clean according to the judges. Oh, well.
You live and learn. Like one of my high school teachers used
to say......"Points off!"
