Construction Technique Used: Hand knitted using Barbara
Walker's antique diamond pattern with a plain garter stitch border top
and bottom. Swatch was steamed to block and open the lace
vertically as recommended by the pattern author.
Suggested End Use: This would be a great vest. The
garter stitch border could be used as the edging for armholes, neckline,
bottom and front panels. The combination of both stitch patterns
would create a fabric that draped well, was lightweight but had added
warmth.
